So far this week...

So this week has been pretty much like last week was, with a few modifications. I spent a lot of the time making heel and lace pads, which are for support and keeps the skin from drying out with ankle taping. I have also done a lot of caring with turf burns, and smaller bumps and bruises that the players get. Dean has been putting a lot more trust in me to do things in prep for practice. He also said that once his interns come in (college students who have been with the team for a long time), and he can have more eyes watching the field, he will show me how to do the taping that most players want before every practice.

I've gotten to know the players a lot better, and have had conversations with most of them. A few of them have asked about the project and Hawken, and its led to me becoming closer with a lot of them. It has been an interesting experience so far, and I am really looking forward to getting to know the players that I haven't really talked to yet.

On a non-project note, I was asked to do something for someone who works in the media office for the Gladiators, and will be appearing on the Jumbo-tron for their home game vs. the Philadelphia Soul. They had me put on a Soul shirt, catch a ball, and then get tackled by Rudi, the Mascot. This has nothing what-so-ever to do with my actual project, but it is still a fun experience.
