Okay so I finally settled all of my computer troubles. Back on the grind.
Smoke Screen and I were working tirelessly for the past two days on a new song for my EP but today we realized that we were rushing the creative process too much and we were sacrificing a lot of quality. So we are now going to put a preexisting song that we did together on my project that we were planning on saving for their upcoming album. So we'll just make a new one for theirs. colossal relief.
I had been calling Analog Arcade several times a day for the past few days and we were playing phone tag trying to get this final recording session scheduled. I finally got a hold of them today and scheduled it for tomorrow (Thursday) which is the day before the project is going to be released. So thats a lot of pressure.
I'm still promoting the release party and it seems like it's gonna be a nice little event.
It's gonna be this Friday from 7pm to 9pm at Heart & Sole Sneakers on Coventry for anyone who wants to come (cough cough it's free). But yeah it's gonna be fun.
Still trying to piece together different set lists for each city because we will be performing for so many different types of crowds. For example, in Pittsburgh on the 17th, the other acts that are on the bill are very avant-garde/experimental electronic bands and then on the 19th in Columbus the other acts are dubstep/electro party DJ's and producers. So we're reaching extremely different ends of the spectrum in the span of a few days.
We're also slowly piecing together the score for our documentary of this whole process, it's sounding pretty cool.
Woo!
