Beechmont
I thought golf pros had it very easy; just relax at the country club and play a round every now and again. Their actually some of the busiest people I know. They have to run a store, keep hundreds of acres of land in top shape, teach lessons, and manage the club and members. Over the past week Alex and I have been helping out in any way we can because this saturday they had sponsors from every company imaginable at the course selling products to the members, and it has been extremely busy. We have learned a lot about business sales and even more about golf clubs. I always took golfing for granted, but seeing and performing all of the tasks involved in making it possilbe has really helped me appreciate all aspects of the sport even moreso. The job does come with perks however; we have been able to play a few rounds for free after our workdays. We're also very fortunate that we are not just working under the head pro, but him, the three other pros, and the two people who run the pro shop. Alex and I are getting to view golf from all its perspectives.

I'm glad that you guys are having to roll up your sleeves and dig in a bit. It will make you appreciate things more in the long run. Hopefully, your experience with the business side of things will help you become better managers in your careers. Keep up the good work.
